She was born and bred up in Calabar, her state of origin, date and year of her birth, not known.
Mercy had her primary education at Command Children School and Zenith High School, both in Calabar where she obtained her first and secondary school certificates respectively.
She later went to the University of Calabar to have a degree in Accounting. Mercy also graduated from New York Film Academy.
Mercy Isoyip started her career dated back to her early days in the secondary school and her local church as choir.
She began her acting professionally in 2016 after she starred in a movie “Paige” alongside top Nollywood stars like Tony Umez and Richael Oniga.
Her brilliant performance shot her to fame and recognition in Nollywood and gave her roles in other movies, some of which are:

• Once Upon A Time
• The Graduate among others.

Mercy however disclosed that the most challenging role she featured was a TV series where she played the role of a street girl hawker and was asked to speak pidgin English.
Aside acting, Mercy Isoyip is also a talented singer. She revealed that she has a strong passion for music and used to perform in her local church as choir. She disclosed further that she was gifted in poem. Her poetic inclination launched her professionally into music career with her debut single “Telegram” and other hit mixtapes and two singles Thirsty and Discrushiel.

Mercy is not yet married but believes in laying solid foundation before venturing into marriage. She however expressed gratitude to God for family and her school teachers that nurtured her to embrace peace, love and prayerful life which have turned out to be her ladder to greatness today.
