She was born as the 4th child in a family of six. She has a twin sister who also acts occasionally.
Bankole had her elementary education at Tunwase Nursery and Primary School, Ikeja and secondary education also in Lagos.
She later obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication at Olabisi Onabanjo University in Osun State.
Bankole began her entertainment career as a model.
She was a contestant at the Miss Commonwealth Nigeria Pageant in 2003. Bankole did not win but made it to top 10, which she claimed the exposure was all she really needed.
Bankole took a break to concentrate more on her modelling career in 2004. She also participated in the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria Beauty Contest in 2004.
Kehinde Bankole made her acting debut during her reign as Lux Ambassador in the family drama, Super Story titled: “Everything it Takes”. She has also starred in other Wale Adenuga’s productions like Papa Ajasco and This Life. Others include:

After the contract of Genevieve Nnaji expired as a Lux Ambassador, Bankole was chosen along with Sylvia Udeogu and Olaide Olaogun to become to new face of Lux in 2007.
Aside acting, Bankole hosts daytime Talkshows including “Soul Sisters” and “African Kitchen”.
Bankole is a winner of several awards including:
Revelation of the year Award at the 2009 and the Best of Nollywood Awards for her roles in Wale Adenuga’s Super story.
She also won the Best Actress of the year at the 2015 edition of the African Magic Viewers Choice Awards.
Bankole got nomination at ELOY Awards for her role in a TV Series, Super Story in 2014.
