MC Aproko has his real name as Gift Loveday Igbomgbo. He is a fast upcoming and talented Nigerian stand-up comedian, MC, actor and singer who came to limelight after successfully winning the Next Naija Comedy Star organized by Comedian and actor Ay Makun.
He was born in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, but had his upbringing in Nembe, Bayelsa State. Aproko is one of seven children in a family and a native of Bayelsa State in south south Nigeria.

MC Aproko had his primary and secondary education in Bayelsa State respectively. Nothing more is known about his educational background, but an unauthenticated information revealed that he was a dropout from the University.

MC Aproko began his comedy journey in 2007, thrilling and entertaining his numerous fans.
Aproko became widely and professionally known in a 2017 competition organised by Maltina Comedy Central, ‘Grab the Mic’ show. He went home with N1.5 million held at Eko Convention Center.
Aproko also won N1 million in Ibile Challenge competition organised by the Lagos State Government also held at Eko Convention Center.
In 2020, MC Aproko also emerged winner after featuring in a reality show designed to identify and promote young up-coming comedians organized by AY Makun in Lagos.
The show had judges in the persons of Alibaba, I Go Dye and Akpororo who are key players in the comedy business. MC Aproko emerged winner with a car gift and cash of N5 million Naira. He has since remained very active in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
The versatile and all-round entertainer is a Nollywood actor with good number of movies and television series to his credit. Some of his movies include Santa Alabama, The Hustle, The Real Don, Go Slow, White Mountains, Derailed among many others.
Aproko is also a gifted singer. He featured prominently in Sunshine’s Single, ‘Father and Daughter’ in 2020.
MC Aproko is presently the special assistant on entertainment to the governor of Bayelsa State, Douye Diri, since 24 December 2020.
In December 2020, MC Aproko was appointed Special Assistant on Entertainment by the governor of Bayelsa, Duoye Diri. He still maintains this political appointment till date, still doing his comedy business.

MC Aproko has within his short time in the comedy business earned a good and impressive number of awards, notably as:
• 2013 Best Comedian in Bayelsa, organized by Bayelsa Hall of Fame Awards.
• 2017 Comedy Central ‘Grab The Mic’ with Maltina held at Eko Convention Centre with a cash award of ₦1.5 million.
• 2018 Ibile Comedy Challenge winner held at Eko Convention Centre organized by the Lagos State government receiving a cash award of ₦1 million.

MC Aproko is not yet married. He is a young, talented and vibrant entertainer who probably is in a relationship which has not received public attention. But he is more focused in his career and winning more laurels.
