Laila Ijeoma has her real name as Laila Ijeoma Uzochinyere Obiagwu. She is a famous Nigerian blogger who has made a big name in the blog business.

She was born into a Christian family on August 12, 1984. She grew up in Aba, Abia State. She is the first child and only daughter of her parents.

 

Educational Background

Laila Ijeoma attended Ninlan Demonstration School, Ogborhill, Aba in 1994 and Abia State Senior Science School Ihie, in 1997 respectively.

She later graduated from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Imo State where sh obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical engineering in 2005.

Her Career

Ijeoma worked briefly as a banker and resigned from the job in 2016 to make a full time career in blog business.

She eventually abandoned her yearly take home of N5 million to set up Lailasnews which has since received wide recognition and fame.

Laila Ijeoma launched Lailasnews formerly known as LailasBlog in 2013, one of Nigeria’s leading entertainment websites that reports breaking Nigerian news and gossips.

In January 2018, she rebranded Lailasblog to Lailasnews after running it for five years.

Her blog became more popular following exclusives: Toke Makinwa’s surprise wedding to her estranged husband, Maje Ayida and Aliko Dangote settling the Don Jazzy and Olamide dispute.

Laila is gifted, very creative and intelligent with strong innate ability to succeed in all human endeavours. She is also a very hard working woman, a goal getter and  role model to the younger generation.

In 2016, she was listed amongst the 100 Most Influential Nigerian Writers under 40.
