Olayinka Joel Ayefele is his real full name, but widely and fondly called Yinka Ayefele. He is a popular Nigerian Yoruba gospel singer, producer, on-air personality and entrepreneur.
He was born on February 1, 1968 in Ipoti- Ekiti, Ekiti State in south western Nigeria to the family of Chief Joshua Taiwo Ayefele. Yinka grew up in his home town, humble and gifted.
Educational Background
Yinka Ayefele attended Our Saviours Anglican Primary School, Ipoti- Ekiti and secondary education also in Ekiti.
He later did his tertiary education at Ondo State College of Arts and Science, Ikare- Akoko, Ondo State.
His Music Career
Yinka worked briefly at the Federal Radio Corporation Nigeria as a presenter. He also produced jingles and musical works on radio.
Yinka’s journey into music began in 1997 after surviving a ghastly motor accident that affected his spinal cord and confirmed him to wheel chair till date. Prior to this, he was a member of Time Band, which was attached to the Assemblies of God Church.
In 1998, Yinka released his debut studio album titled, ‘Bitter Experience’ and has since achieved a lot in the field of music.

The station which began as an internet radio, has now blossomed into full time broadcasting station in Ibadan, Oyo State. The FM radio is known for pure entertainment and now operates in Abeokuta, Ogun State and Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State respectively, with plans to spread across Nigeria.
The FM Station has so far won several awards including the Best Station in Nigeria in the 2019 Nigeria Media Nite-Out Awards.

Recently, the Oyo State Government under Abiola Ajimobi carried out the demolition of section of Ayefele’s Music House, claiming infringement of some building laws. However, the remorseful government made U-turn later and rebuilt the facility following public outcry.
His Personal Life
Yinka has been happily married to Temitope Titilope since the year 2000 before the tragic accident that resulted in the spinal cord injury.
On January 18, 2019, the couple welcomed a set of triplets, two boys and a girl.
Yinka is not only an epitome of talents, but a great philosopher in our contemporary time. He believes that “challenges are part of the steps on the ladder of success and every successful person must climb it.”
