Kemi Adetiba is a renowned Nigerian movie maker, television director and music video director. She has featured prominently on Channel O, MTV Base, Soundcity tv, BET and Nwrdlix.

She was born in Lagos on January 8, 1980 into the family of Dele and Mayen Adetiba. Her mother is an engineer and actress, the first female civil engineer to be elected into the Executive Committee of the Nigerian Society of Engineers and father, a veteran sports broadcaster.

Kemi Adetiba holds a Bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Lagos. She was called to Bar at the Nigerian Law School.

Kemi’s journey into the entertainment world started, dated back to her young age when she headlined two national television commercials for the detergent brand Omo.

She became professionally known as a radio presenter with Rhythm 93.7 FM, where she became the voice behind two nationally syndicated hit shows: Soul’d Out and Sunday at the Seaside.

Kemi has done several shows on Mnet including Studio 53 and Temptation Nigeria. She was also a Soundcity TV presenter.

Kemi’s popularity grew following her anonymously posting personal remixes online on various applications as Spotify and Soundcloud under the username and tag ‘Hule’.

The talented and versatile young lady built on her career and eventually became a face on television by producing and presenting several shows on Mnet, including Studio 53, Temptation Nigeria which she presented alongside Ikponmwosa Osakioduwa.

Kemi was also a presenter on Soundcity TV and hosted Maltina Dance consistently for three seasons.

After years of success being in front of the camera, Kemi’s work as a director are presently spread across the African continent and beyond its borders. Her short film Across a Bloodied Ocean was screened at the 2009 Pan African Film Festival and National Black Arts Festival respectively.

September 8, 2016, Kemi made another landmark as her first featured movie, ‘The Wedding Party’ (a Nigerian Rom-com film) premiered opening night, at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), as the opening film of the City-to-City Spotlight.

Kemi has the associates of former King Women included Chigul, Taiwo AjaiLycett, TY Bello and Tara Durotoye.

Kemi is known for her quality works, which of course marked her out as an exceptional actress and producer. This also influenced her partnership  with top Nigerian artistes like Olamide of YBNL on visuals for ” Anifowose,” Wizkid’s “Tease Me/Bad Guys”.

Kemi Adetiba is happily married to her longtime friend and lover, Oscar Heman-Ackah, a famous music executive. The wedding took place on Saturday April 23, 2022 in Lagos Nigeria.

The beautiful actress and producer took to Instagram to announce their engagement on February 9, 2022.

The wedding had in attendance, families and close associates, dignitaries from all walks of life including celebrities from the entertainment industry like Banky W and wife Adesua Etomi, Toyin Abraham, Toolz, Seun Kuti with wife, Shaffy Bello, Sharon Ooja, captains of industriesand others.
