Amaarae has his real name as Ama Serwah Genfi. She is a young talented and popular Ghanaian singer, songwriter, producer and engineer who has made significant name in the Ghanaian music industry.

She was born on July 4, 1994 in New York to parents of Ama Bawuah and Kwadwo Boateng Genfi. Amaarae was raised in both Atlanta, USA and Accra, Ghana alongside her other sibling, where she also did her elementary and higher education respectively. Nothing more is known about educational background.

Amaarae’s Music Career

Amaarae began her music journey professionally some years back and has so far made a big name both locally and internationally with her unique style of music.

Amaarae made her first live shows in Ghana at Café Kwae, Shop Accra and Vine Lounge. Her unique curated sets saw her earned her numerous fans with two intimate shows in New York.

She has also done good number of shows in Lagos’ Art X in 2018, Backyard Lagos in the same year, and Boiler Room’s True Music Africa in Accra in March 2019.
