Joy Nice is her real name but fondly called Pelumi in Jenifa’s Diary. She is a popular Nigerian actress, television presenter, model and producer who has featured in television series.
Joy Nice hails from Akwa Ibom. She is the last child in her family who grew up under a very protective environment. Joy revealed that though she was pampered, she was not a spoilt child as she would be disciplined each time she did wrong. Date of her birth is however not known.
Joy Nice had her primary education at Prime Montessori Nursery and Primary School and Darman Model College, Satellite Town Lagos for her first and secondary certificates respectively.
She later obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from University of Lagos (UNILAG), Lagos State.
Joy Nice got into acting in 2010 when she went for an Emem Isong audition in Surulere, Lagos State.
She got a minor role in the series CATWALQ. Joy Nice revealed in an interview that the major challenge she faced earlier in the industry was people not believing that one has talent and also finding it difficult to get jobs. However, through consistency and hard work, she was able to overcome.
Joy Nice also stated that she got into Jenifa’s Diary through the help of a friend, Obinna who was her colleague in a media company. The producer, Funke Akindele invited her for audition and she was eventually given a role.
Joy Nice is also a producer. She stated in an interview that she used to present a programme called E-Drive on Silverbird Television (STV) and currently working with R2TV, where she is a co-host of a show called ‘Red Carpet Couture’.

Joy Nice is not yet married. She revealed that she prefers a man who genuinely loves God, is hardworking and kind to others.
The talented actress also revealed that she has learnt to put God first in all she does saying, when you do, He will lead you. She added that “to be called successful, you have to be part of another person’s success”.
On her choice of fashion, she stated that she does not follow trends but wear what she is comfortable in. According to her, “her mode of dressing is usually determined by where I am going. I love to be simple and comfortable while also looking good at the same time”. She prefers her sister, Lapax Fashion, CLAN and Lanre Da Silva, she concluded.
