Laide was born on October 7, 1980 in Lagos. Laide hails from Oyo state in south western Nigeria.

Laide had her primary and secondary education in Lagos respectively.
She later obtained a Bachelor’s degree in History and Strategic Studies from the University of Lagos and a Diploma in Theatre Arts from the University of Ibadan, Oyo state.
