Kalu Ikeagwu known by his stage name, but has his real name as Kalu Egbui Ikeagwu. He is a popular Nigerian actor, producer, director, script writer and television personality.
He was born on the 18th of May, 1972 in England. He is a dual citizen of Britain and Nigeria. For the fear of abandoning his Igbo origin, the parents ensured that Kalu relocated to Nigeria at a tender age of 9. He hails from Enugu State, in the south eastern Nigeria.
Educational Background
Kalu Ikeagwu has his elementary education in England and Zambia before relocating to Nigeria for his secondary education.
He later went to the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu State where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in English Language in 1991.
His Acting Career
Kalu Ikeagwu joined Nollywood in 2005 and acted his first television Soap Opera “Domino”, a movie that shot him to fame. It was a dream come through in the life of Kalu as he had developed a strong passion for acting from at a tender age, acting in drama and stage plays.
His first stage performance “Put Out The Houselights” was a success. It was a movie produced and directed by Esiaba Ironbi.
He has featured in a number of Nollywood movies including the famous “Our Husband Has Gone Mad Again”, a play by a renowned playwright, Ola Rotimi where he played the role of Major Lejoka Brown.
He has also performed at the Edinburgh Festivals in 1995 and 1997 and acted in another movie by Esiaba Irobi’s drama where he acted the role of RIP.

Again, Kalu is a prolific actor with over 200 Nollywood movies to his credit.
