Funsho Adeolu whose real name is Funsho Adeolu Adegeye is a Nigerian actor, producer, director, known for both Yoruba and English movies.

He was born on the 9^th of May 1968 in Ondo State in south western Nigeria. He is first child in a family of five children born to Pa Adegeye. He hails from Ondo State.

 

Educational Background

Funsho had his primary and secondary education in Ondo State where he obtained his first and secondary school certificates respectively. He later went to Ondo State University, Akure to have a Bachelor’s degree in Guidance and Counselling. Since graduation and joining Nollywood, he has remained very active and relevant in the Nigerian movie industry.

 

His Acting Career

Funsho Adeolu joined Nollywood in 1996 and acted his movie “Countdown at Kusini”, a movie that featured the late Oba Funsho Adeolu, the Alaaye of Ode Remo who played Chief Eleyinmi in the old Nigerian Sitcom, ‘The Village Headmaster’.

Funsho is one of the renowned and highly experienced Nollywood actors, gifted and exceptionally talented in acting and interpretation of movie roles.

 

He has featured in a number of movies both English and Yoruba, some of which include Heroes and Zeroes, Asiri Owo, Iboji, Oju Apa, Jesu Mushin, Family Ties, Cool Red, My Guy, Camouflage, Silenced, Gone Grey, and the popular Things Fall Apart by Professor Chinua Achebe. He acts alongside the big stars in the movie industry like Olu Jacobs, Akin Lexis, Bimbo Akintola, Yinka Quadri and many others.

He has demonstrated his brilliant acting in recent years with a good sense of humour and maturity in most movies and this has helped him to attain greatness in acting profession and inspired up-coming Nigerian actors who look up to him as a role model.
