She was born to a Muslim Cleric from Oyo State and a mother from Edo State on the 5th of May 1970 in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.

Bimbo began acting at a very tender age with her peers for the school’s end-of-year drama events. As she continued in her acting, she developed more and more interest in stage drama and plays and soon had a strong passion for acting.
Bimbo made her journey into Nollywood in 1995 when she featured in the film ‘Owo Blow’, a movie she featured alongside Femi Adebayo. She again featured in another movie ‘Out of Bounds’ in 1997 with the veteran actor Richard Mofe Damijo.

She again stated that women who have been waiting to find a husband can go ahead and have kids if they choose to, putting the biological limit into consideration.
