Fathia Balogun is a multiple award-winning Nigerian actress, film-maker, producer and director.
She was born on the 5th of February 1969, in Ikeja, Lagos State. She hails from Ukwara town in Delta State, in the south southern Nigeria.
Educational Background
Fathia Balogun had her Nursery education at Olufunmila School, primary education at the Maryland Primary School and Maryland Comprehensive High School in Lagos state, where she obtained her first and secondary school certificates respectively.
She later went to Kwara State Polytechnics where she received a Diploma Certificate (ND).
Her Acting Career
Fathia Balogun began acting in the early 90s and has starred in a number of movies, especially in Yoruba speaking movies.
She is gifted, skillful and exceptionally talented in interpreting movie roles. She can as well play any role assigned her in the industry. She is known to act in Yoruba movies.
In one of the interviews granted City People Magazine, she revealed that she never wanted to go into acting profession. But as fate would have it, she saw herself waxing stronger in the entertainment industry, a move she attributed to the work of God.

In 2008, she won the Africa Movie Academy Award for the Most Outstanding Actress Indigenous and her movie Iranse Aje won the best indigenous film of the year.
