She was born on the 14th of October, 1978 in Bayelsa state in south southern Nigeria. She is the first child in the family.
Dakore Egbuson attended the prestigious Corona School and Federal Government Girls College in Lagos and Bauchi respectively.
She later went to the University of Lagos to read Mass Communication but could not complete the programme owing to the incessant strike actions embarked upon by the Academy Staff Union of Universities (ASSU).

Dakore Egbuson joined the Nigerian Movie Industry, (Nollywood) in 1999 and began acting. She became more famous after featuring in a hit movie Final Game in 2005.
