He was born and bred up in Ibadan, Oyo State, the date and year of his birth not known. He hails from Cross River State in south southern Nigeria.
Efa Iwara had his primary and secondary education at the International School, Ibadan and later studied Geography at the University of Ibadan.
Efa Iwara first work, was Tinsel, a 24-hour played role as a moderator in a debate between Tosyn Bucknor and Chucks.
Iwara began his career in music professionally, in 2015 and reveals that he derives joy in entertaining people.
Iwara released a hit song “Wofaifada, Obandi”, a love song. In the music, Wofai played his wife in the video because they came from the same state and could fully understood the context of the video in addition to the fact that she is beautiful.
The highly talented Cross River rapper and actor has since starred in several movies including the recent TV Series on Ebonylife, “Life 101” which premiered on the first of March, 2017.
Iwara revealed that his mentors in the eventual success in the entertainment industry include MI, Naeto C and 2 Face Idibia for music and the veteran actor Pete Edochie for acting profession.
His Personal Life
Efa Iwara is not yet married and remarked “I wish I was”.
Asked to choose between acting and music, he revealed that he preferred doing both, though they provide different outlets, but they have a common goal, to make fun.
Iwara is a strong advocate against domestic violence. According to him, “domestic violence is unacceptable in any form and something that we need to fight against in Nigeria”.
