Kafayat Oluwatoyin Shafau Ameh is simply and widely known as Kaffy. She is a renowned Nigerian foremost dancer, choreographer, dance and fitness instructor and a philanthropist.
Kafayat was born on the 30th of June in London. She grew up in Lagos State.
Kaffy’s Educational Background
Kaffy had her primary and secondary education at Chrisland School, Opebi and Coker secondary school, Orile-Iganmu, both in Lagos where she obtained her first and secondary school certificates respectively.
She later attended Yaba College of Technology for a period of time before obtaining a Diploma in Data Processing from Olabisi Onabanjo University, in Osun State.
Kaffy’s Career
Kaffy began her dancing career in 2002, dated back to an event she attended as a stage performer and was noticed by someone who knew her as a veteran dancer who used to go to National Stadium at weekends for dance rehearsals and workouts.
Kaffy was shot to fame and recognition and eventually as a star to watch in dance competition after she led her dance group to break the Guinness Book of Records for “Longest Dance Party”, maintaining a dance party for 55 hours and 40 minutes at the Nokia Silverbird Danceathon in 2006.
Kaffy is presently the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Imagneto Company and a veteran dance instructor with highly equipped innovative Visualization based method for training dance fitness in an accelerated format.
In 2017, this highly resourceful, creative and talented Nigerian dancer set up what she calls “The Dance Workshop”, a dance platform for training and mentoring young talented Nigerian professional dancers as well as promoting their cultural heritage within and outside Nigerian dance industry.
This innovation by Kaffy has received tremendous achievement with the 2017 edition, featuring American’s leading Choreographer, AY Hollywood.
Kaffy has a dance fitness and instructions to her credit producing “(9jaDance Burnout” and “Ijada9ja Dance Bournout”. She has also featured in Reality TV shows like:

• Faculty Member: Project Fame West Africa and
• Judge and Faculty Instructor, Dance with Peter.
Kaffy’s high level of stamina, creativity and brilliant performance in dance competition also received recognition in award-winning musical videos for top artistes in Nigeria like P-Square, Olamide, Tiwa Savage, D’banj, Seyi Shay and other top celebrities outside the country.

Kaffy is also a philanthropist. She has a strong passion for humanitarian services. One of such gesture was seen during the Covid-19 Pandemic, when Kaffy distributed food to the vulnerable on daily basis.

Kaffy got married to Joseph Ameh, music director and dancer for P-Square and the marriage is blessed with two children.
