Tobi began acting dated back to his tender age of 7 when his father introduced him to front of a camera. He featured in a movie “Silenced”, produced by Ralph Nwadike and directed by Tunji Bamshigbin.
At the age of 13, Temini rose to prominence when he played the role of (Nathaniel Ibekwe), a sitcom titled “Kamson and Neighbours, produced and directed by Tunji Bamishigbin.
After several years of attending auditions and getting turned down, he was eventually given a role, Feva in one of the shows then “Industreet”. There he met Funke Akindele, the now famous Jenifa’s Diary who was like a mother to him.
Tobi Makinde was given the position of a manager and later assigned a role as Temini by Funke Akindele. He revealed was wonderful as it won him several award nominations, one of which a nominee for Young Actor in TV Series at Emperor Awards alongside Akinola E. Akano.
Tobi disclosed that he was actually shot to fame and recognition in Nollywood after his brilliant roles in Kamson and Neighbours and Jenifa’s Diary.

Tobi revealed that he would prefer to keep his relationship top secret. He however said that the craziest thing he ever did for love was chilling with his ex-girl friend, while she was out with another guy. This happened to him in his first year in the University and he was then too young and naïve.
