Actress Ngozi Nwosu: Biography And Net Worth

Ngozi Nwosu is a veteran Nigerian actress and producer, popular with a movie, Living n Bondage.
She was born on August 1, 1963 in Lagos. Ngozi is a native of Arochukwu in Abia State, South eastern Nigeria. She had her up-bringing in Lagos. Her father, a Biafran soldier, died during the Nigeria Civil War.

Educational Background
Ngozi Nwosu had her primary and secondary education at St. Paul Anglican School, Idi Oro and Maryland Comprehensive High School, Ikeja, and eventually concluded her high school at East Rosary High School for her primary and secondary school certificates respectively.
She later obtained her professional acting training under the leadership of Reverend Fabian Oko at Royal Theatre Art Club School.

Her Acting Career
Ngozi began her acting career while attending acting classes in school, most of which were done then in Yoruba language.
She played “Madam V boot” in the television series, Ripples. While on set in Living in Bondage, Ngozi Nwosu was said to be the first actress to kiss on set during her romantic session with Kenneth Okonkwo.
She is also known for playing “Peace” in sitcom, Fuji House of Commotion, created by Amaka Igwe. Her character was the third wife of Chief Fuji, often shown as his favourite.

She began her acting career in Yoruba-language movies, before making her home-video debut in ‘Living in Bondage’, an Igbo-language movie considered to begin the video film era of Cinema of Nigeria. The movie also gave Nollywood recognition as it marked the beginning of most Nigerians appreciating our work as they now sit back to watch our local movies.
The Nollywood superstar is creative, skillful and highly talented Nollywood actress known for bringing humour into play. She is also good in the interpretation of roles in movies and takes any character liberally assigned her in most movies. Her disposition in acting is loved and cherished by her numerous fans across the country.
Ngozi is fluent in Igbo, Yoruba and English languages, a unique advantage she has over her contemporaries in the movie industry as most producers and directors prefer to use her.

In 2018, Ngozi Nwosu played the lead role of “Ene” in Nigerian animation movie “Sade”. Her character in the movie portrayed a woman who didn’t utilize what she had, until she lost it. According to her, everyone can identify with the movie because of its comic undertone.
Ngozi is also a movie producer and was the producer of Evil Passion, Stainless and the radio show, Onga.
She has also featured in music videos of top Nigerian musicians like Chidinma Ekile, Phyno, Fair Prince and Flavour.

Her Personal Life
In 2012, she took ill, which affected her career. The diagnosis was reported to be related to a kidney disease. She eventually got treatment abroad through the help of government, some corporate bodies and organizations in Nigeria.
Speaking on female sexual harassment in the industry, Ngozi Nwosu explained that it could be fine when producers make sexual advances towards an actress, but she considers it more downgrading when the actress seduces the producer. She also stated that every actress has the right to say no to anything that is not comfortable for them.

Ngozi Nwosu is indeed a regular face and a strong pillar in the Nigerian movie industry, rated one of the richest and most influential with a net worth of about $600,000 dollars.
