She was born in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. She is the fifth child in a family of six children born into a Christian home. She is a native of Amaraku in Isi-Ala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State in south eastern Nigeria.

Ruby had her primary and secondary education in Port Harcourt respectively. She later graduated at the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu.
