Slowdog, widely known by his professional name, has his real full name as Nnenna Okechukwu Emmanuel. He is a fast coming up Nigerian indigenous rapper, singer, song writer, recording artiste and stage performer known to rap in Igbo language.
Slowdog was born on 27th November 1978 in Akwuzu, Anambra state. Slowdog is one of six children born into a Christian family. He hails from Akwuzu in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State, but grew up in Jos, Plateau State in the North Central Nigeria. He finally relocated to Enugu state in 1981.

Slowdog had his primary and secondary education in his home town respectively.
He later went to Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) in Enugu to have a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Marketing in 2003.

Slowdog kick-started his music career in 1994 dated back to his days in the secondary school when he used to rap in Igbo language.
He however began his music journey professionally in 2002 when he formed a group known as “Dodge and Slowdog” (DSD) and released his first debut album “Exposed Piracy”.
He has since released a number of hit singles including its remix “Who Get The Tin” which featured Dukumzy, and “Testimony”, featuring music stars like Phyno and TJ released in 2006 and 2017 respectively.
