He was born on 27th November 1978 in Akwuzu, Anambra state. Slowdog is one of six children born into a Christian family. He hails from Akwuzu in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State, but grew up in Jos, Plateau State in the North Central Nigeria. He finally relocated to Enugu state in 1981.
Slowdog had his primary and secondary education in his home town respectively.
He later went to Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) in Enugu to have a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Marketing in 2003.
His Music Career
Slowdog kick-started his music career in 1994 dated back to his days in the secondary school when he used to rap in Igbo language.
He however began his music journey professionally in 2002 when he formed a group known as “Dodge and Slowdog” (DSD) and released his first debut album “Exposed Piracy”.
He has since released a number of hit singles including its remix “Who Get The Tin” which featured Dukumzy, and “Testimony”, featuring music stars like Phyno and TJ released in 2006 and 2017 respectively.
Slowdog is very creative, skillful and highly talented Nigerian music superstar known to be one of the best Igbo indigenous rappers that has ever emerged in our contemporary music setting.
He has collaborated with top Nigerian music celebrities like P-Square, Olamide, Timaya, Phyno, Nigga Raw, Flavour, Hype MC and others. His kind of music is more of comedy rap and is loved by his numerous fans across the country.
Slowdog performed at Mbba-Ike Mega Concert, an annual event hosted by the former governor of Imo State in 2014, designed to bring people together and promote cultural unity among the Ibos. The 14th edition featured Slowdog alongside Patoranking.
Slowdog also featured at Ogbuike Cave Carnival held in Anambra State and the 2017 edition of Ibari Ogwa Concert held in Owerri, Imo State. He has remained very active and relevant in the music industry.
