Durojaiyeola Oluwakemi Kuti is her birth name but popularly known as Jaiye Kuti. She is a famous Nollywood actress, producer and entrepreneur.
She was born on July 10 in Kano State. She hails from Yewa Ayetoro, Egbado in Ogun state, in south western Nigeria.
Jaiye’s Educational Background
She started her early education in Sunshine Nursery and Primary School and later at Temidire Primary School when her father was transferred at his place of work (NITEL).
Jaiye attended Ikorodu grammar school Lagos and Federal Polytechnic Ilaro, Ogun state where she studied Secretarial Administration. She also obtained a Bachelor’s degree in English language from the University of Lagos.

Kuti Jaiye began acting professionally after she had series of audition and was given a role which paved the way for subsequent roles in Nollywood movies.
She made her debut in 2002 when she featured in TV Series Laff Patterns, English Soap Opera, a series that shot her to fame and recognition in Nollywood. Her TV series include Face to Face, One Love, Everyday People and Spider.
She later joined the Yoruba movie Industry and featured alongside Adebayo Salami (Oga Bello) and Prince Jide Kosoko’s team for scriptwriting and acting. Some of her movies are Si Gbogbo Okunrin, Ashewo, Ogun Mi among others.
Jaiye is a also movie producer. She produced her first movie “Ewon Laafin, a popular and successful movie that shot her to fame and recognition in Nollywood and then screened at Cinema Odeon in Italy. She made a substantial amount from the movie before returning back to Nigeria. She has since produced other several movies to her credit.
Jaiye revealed she has a strong passion for acting, a dream she had from childhood.
