She was born in Imo State, her original home birth to a Christian family. Her late father was a strict disciplinarian and mother a very caring woman.
Andy is a graduate of Banking and Finance in one of the Nigerian Universities.
Her Acting Career
Andy’s journey into her acting career started dated back to her days in her local Church as a choir and drama presenter before professionally involved in acting.
Andy recalled that she actually didn’t set out to go for the audition. She escorted a friend to the venue, was auditioned and eventually got a role in a movie which she acted very well.
She left Nollywood for two years, just to serve in her home state as transition committee Chairman of her Local Government Council in Imo State. She made a comeback and now fully into acting.
Andy Ike has since starred in several Nollywood movies including Living in Bondage, Judgement, Obiora, Forbidden, Battle of Muzanga, Silent Night and Okpuru Anyanwu, a television drama series shot in Igbo language and it was shown basically on Eastern Nigerian TV stations.
She is also into fashion designing. She revealed she loves fashion and has a strong stint in modeling though acting was more profitable and famous for her. She wears what suits and comfort her in any occasion.
Andy Ike is also a politician. She was appointed transition committee Chairman of her Local Government Council in Imo State
Andy Ike revealed she was inspired by God who created Heaven and the Earth and remains very grateful to Him for making her what she is today.
Her Personal Life
Andy Ike revealed that she was not married saying marriage is not something you rush into but rather needs caution and prayer and believing in God to provide at the right time.
She also stated that owing to the rate of scandals trailing most of Nollywood actresses, she managed to maintain a clean slate by keeping a low profile.
Andy believes in empowering people in the rural communities and look forward to making a change especially at the grassroots. To actualize this, she hopes to launch a project that will define and give meaning to those young and budding talents in the streets, or even in the rural communities.
