Rahama Sadau is a prominent Nigerian actress, filmmaker, singer and humanitarian.
She was born on December 7, 1993 in Kaduna to Alhaji Ibrahim Sadau. Rahama had her up-bringing in Kaduna state with her parents and three siblings.

Educational Background
Sadau had her primary education at Labayi International School. She later went to Kaduna Capital School for her junior secondary education and Misbau Islam for her senior secondary school respectively.
She later studied Human Resource Management at the school of Business and Finance of Eastern Mediterranean University in Northern Cyprus. Rahama performed in dancing competitions as a child and during her school years.

Her Acting Career
Rahama Sadau joined the Kannywood movie industry in 2013. Her brilliant role in a movie, ‘Gani ga Wane’ alongside the Kannywood actor Ali Nuhu shot her to fame and recognition in the industry and gave her roles in subsequent movies.

Rahama has so far made several appearances in Nigerian movies, both in Hausa and English and is rated one of the few Nollywood actors that speak Hindi fluently.

In 2016, Rahama emerged the “Face of Kannywood. In October of the year, Sadau featured in a movie series on EbonyLife TV.
In 2017, she formed a production company named Sadau Pictures where she produced her first movie, Rariya starring Ali Nuhu, Sani Musa Danja, Sadiq Sani Sadiq and Fati Washa.
She returned to acting to play the career teacher in MTV Shuga and in 2019, MTV Shuga returned to be located in Nigeria for series 6, “Choices”, and Sadau was one of returning actors for the new series which included Timini Egbuson, Yakubu Mohammed, Uzoamaka Aniunoh and Ruby Akabueze.

Her Humanitarian Work
Rahama is also involved in charity works through her NGO, ‘Ray of Hope’. The platform was designed to participate in 2015 Cancer Day Walk organized by Medicaid.
It was also aimed at empowering women, campaign for girl education and women’s right, gender equality among others.

Rahama Sadau has in the course of her acting career received a number of awards notably as:
• 2014 and 2015 Best Actress (Kannywood) at the City People Entertainment Awards respectively.
• 2017 Best African Actress by African Voice.
• Rahama Sadau was also honoured by the Women Illuminated Film Festival paralleled to the United Nation’s 62nd Annual Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), in New York.
Controversy
In early October 2016, Rahama Sadau was reportedly banned from the Hausa film industry Kannywood, by the Motion Picture Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MOPPAN) due to her “hugging and cuddling” in a music video.
In 2017, Rahama emerged the first Hausa speaking female celebrity to appear in the Top Ten Hottest Female Nigeria Celebrities.
