Sunday Igboho: Biography, His Agitation And Net Worth

Sunday Igboho has his real name as Adeniyi Adeyemo. He is a popularly known business magnate, social and political activist and humanitarian.

He was born on 10 October 1972 in Igboho town, a community in Oke-Ogun, Oyo State, Nigeria. He relocated to Modakeke in Osun State, where he grew up and had his primary and secondary education respectively.

 

The name Igboho was given to him, following his role and popularity in the Modakeke-Ife communal crisis in 1997. The strong Yoruba activist is widely believed to have the metaphysical abilities to fight war, which has earned him lots of followers and supporters in the agitation for the separation of the Yoruba from Nigeria.

Sunday Igboho started off as a motorcycle repairer before he made it into automobiles where he used to sell cars which later grew to his current Adeson business.

He is the chairman of Adeson International Business Concept Ltd and the Akoni Oodua of Yoruba.

Sunday Igboho gained social media prominence in January 2023 when he gave an ultimatum to Fulani herdsmen in Ibarapa to vacate the land after the killing of Dr. Aborode and enforced same.

Igboho also gained international recognition after he advocated for the Oduduwa Republic in January, 2023.

Prior to this declaration, the Yoruba activist worked with former Oyo state Governor, Lam Adesina through a courageous step while trying to defend the rights of the people at a fuel station. He also went on to work with former Governor, Rasheed Ladoja and became one of his most trusted aides.

Recently, the Nigerian Department of State Security Service (DSS) stormed the Yoruba activist’s house in Ibadan where he escaped, following his declaration of the Oduduwa Republic. He fled to Benin Republic where he was tried in a competent court.

The arrest of Igboho has since generated wide protest in south west, calling on the government of Nigeria for his immediate release and drop of charges against him.
