Tobechukwu Melvin Ejiofor, also widely and fondly known as Illbliss or Oga Boss, is a popular Nigerian rapper/ hip-hop recording artist, musician, stage performer, television personality, actor and entrepreneur.
He was born on December 30th, 1979 in Enugu state but hails from Nkwerre, Imo State in south east Nigeria.
In his formative years, Illbliss was exposed to a lot of highlife and folklore songs created by notable Nigerian musicians, like Fela Kuti, Sonny Okosun, Charly Boy, King Sunny Ade, Sir Shina Peters, among many others.
Illbliss is currently based in Lagos State.

Illbliss kick-started his musical career dated back to his University days when he used to perform at different shows on Campus.
He became widely and professionally recognized in the year 2000 upon graduation and relocation to Lagos where he made his first debut in music.
In 2009, he made his debut album, Dat Ibo Boy, which contained, “Aiye Po Gan! (Enuf Space)”.
Illbliss then released a new album July 2020, Illy Chapo X. His album IlLY CHAPO X was very successful and received nomination for the category of best rap album for the HEADIES 2020 Awards.

Illbliss is also a good actor. In 2019, he made a debut in acting by starring in the movie, King of Boys as Odogwu, where he played the role of a mafia boss, Odogwu Malay. His brilliant performance earned him favourite in the hearts of many.
He repeated the role of Odogwu Malay in the movie’s sequel: The King Of Boys 2.

Recipient of an award for Best Hiphop Video (for the hit “U Go Wound O!!”) at the 2008 maiden edition of the Soundcity Music Video Awards. This award was presented to him by the American hip-hop star Nas.

Illbliss also collaborated with fellow rapper, Teck Zilla to record the joint album, IllyZilla. The project was released in 2019.
In 2020, Illblissthrilled his fans to a new project when he released the album,Illy Chapo X. Though he maintained his Igbo trademark rap, it was crystal clear to his numerous fans that the young artist has evolved over the years.
The album, which is his seventh as a rapper, was nominated for the Best Rap Album category at the Headies in 2020.
In 2019, the Nigerian Rapper lashed at President Muhammadu Buhari for not giving adequate attention to the current social, political and economic problems ravaging the country. In his words, “We all feel like a ship with no captain, no direction. This is a powerful country you have been installed to rule. Can you really just rule and show any level of empathy? Can you sir?”
