He was born in Ibadan, Oyo state in south western Nigeria. Clarence is the son of a renowned Nollywood actress Clarion Chukwurah.
His Educational Background
Clarence had his primary education at B1 primary school and secondary education at Government College Ikorodu, Lagos state where he obtained his first and secondary school certificates respectively.
He later went to City University in Cape Town in Southern Africa to have a degree in film making, specializing in Cinematography.
Clarence Peters returned to Nigeria after graduation and entered into agreement with filmmakers to form an Alliance Film Company, which was later called Allied Film Company. He worked briefly with the company before pulling out to set up his own.
Clarence is now a proud founder and Chief Executive Officer of Capital Dream Pictures, a company that is reputed in realms of film making, new media art, performing arts, television, radio and video.
He also teamed up with his friend, Tha to form Capital Hills Records, a record label that brought promising artists like Chidinma Ekile to limelight.
Clarence is such a versatile young man, currently ranked second best on Channel O’s top ten most conscious and visionary music video Directors list.
He has successfully directed good numbers of episodes of the television series ‘Everyday People’. Clarence has also directed music videos for top Nigerian artistes including Davido, Wizkids, Olamide, Phyno, Chidinma Ekile, Tiwa Savage and big stars in the industry.
In a bid to further expand his business and boost its recognition, Clarence and Tha decided to look for a female artiste that could sing and rap. They eventually signed Kel to his record label on introduction by Terry the Rapman.
However, this contract was short live. In September 2010, Kel had a problem with the duo, leading to the abrupt termination of the record contract. The company is presently doing very well.
Clarence Peters in his years in the entertainment industry has won several awards. Some and most recent of these awards include:

• Best Music Video Director of the year at the City People Entertainment Awards.
• Best Video Director at the African Muzik Magazine Awards.
