Dr Smile started off as a musician in 1991 with the renowned Yoruba singer, Yinka Ayefele. He is also gifted in playing talking drum.
Dr Smile, also fondly referred to as the South-West comedy ‘emperor’, came to Abeokuta to do his youth service and eventually settled to make a career in comedy business and has since become one of the most sought after in the Nigerian entertainment industry.

In an interview, the Ogun born comedian and singer revealed that he had his inspiration from God Almighty. The talented comedian also revealed that his over 15 solid years in comedy has made a lot for him, having featured at various great comedy gigs as well as hosted and performed at various corporate events for top organizations and prominent personalities.
He remained grateful to God for His grace and advised younger comedians to be “original, humble and don’t be over desperate for fame. You can be famous and still be poor. Consistency is the key to utmost success”.
Like every other being on earth, Dr Smile has had a fair share of his darkest moment in life. He revealed that his unforgettable and dark moment was when he was set to perform at a very big event, the news of his brother, supporter and mentor had been shot dead. Though the somewhat news weighed him down, he looked up to God to take control and mounted the stage which eventually turned out to be one of the greatest performances of his career so far.
The versatile and highly talented comedian also said that comedy is in-born with exceptional creativity. According to Dr Smile, a good comedian must be able to analyze and study his audience in order to step up the game and make the best of delivery.

Dr Smile is happily married with children.
The young and vibrant comedian also said that he does not club or go to bars nor the noisy kind of person and concluded that a man must be known for virtues which is self control and self discipline at all times.
