Odongo Swagg is a young, talented and prolific Kenyan song writer, performing artist, known for Ohangla genre of music and one of the fast growing musicians in Mdundo and the entire African continent.
Odongo was born on December 28. Actual year of his birth is however not known. His name is derived from various things, Odongo, a cultural and ancestral name of the Luo tribe in Kenya. He grew up in his home town where he had his primary and secondary education respectively.
Odongo Swagg’s Music Career
Odongo kick-started his music career in 2013, as a promoter.
In 2014, Odongo did his first solo album “Linda Nyar Lang’o” which did very well and had huge commercial volume. He chose Ohangla as his preferred genre of music due to his love of that particular genre.
The inherent energy, skills and beautiful melodies among other things in that Ohangla music, have been described by many as wonderful and a source of inspiration to the younger generation.
