Ric Hassani, known by his stage name, has his real name as Ikechukwu Eric Ahiauzu. He is a fast up-coming Nigerian singer and songwriter known for Soul, Raggae and Pop genre of music.

He was born on January 6,1989 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State of Nigeria. Ric grew up in Port Harcourt and is the last born and only male child in his family.

Ric Hassani had his primary and secondary education in Port Harcourt.

He later bagged a degree in Economics from Covenant University and a Masters degree in Energy Economics from the University of Surrey, England, respectively.

Ric Hassani’s Music Career

Ric Hassani kick-started his music career professionally in 2013, playing piano and singing, with his kind of music thrilling and entertaining his numerous fans across board.

In 2016, he released his hit single titled, Gentleman, a song many believe portrayed his style of dressing that actually influenced his self-acclaimed stance of a gentleman.

In 2017, Ric released his debut album, ‘The African Gentleman’.

Ric Hassani has so far in his music career been nominated for various awards.

He was nominated for three awards at the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMMA) in the categories of Best R&B/Soul Artist, Video of The Year and Most Promising Artiste in 2016.

Ric also received two nominations at The Headies 2016, including Best Alternative Song for “Gentleman”.

In December 2018, the Falz and Olamide-assisted “Believe” won Best Collaboration at the Galaxy Music Awards.
