Fiokee has his real name as Ifiok Effanga. He is a famous Nigeria’s Afro-beats recording artiste and guitarist.
He was born January 21, 1982 in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State in south south Nigeria. Fiokee is the fourth child in a family of six children. He grew up in his home town where he had his primary and secondary education respectively.
Fiokee later studied Mechanical Engineering at the Petroleum Training Institute, Effurun, Warrri, in Delta State.
Fiokee’s Music Career
Fiokee’s journey into music started at his very young age when he was a Choir member of his local Church.
He became widely known in music when he competed as part of a group called “Diamonds” in the 2008 edition of the reality television music show, “Star Quest” and emerged the winner.
Since then, Fiokee’s popularity grew unimaginably, bringing his unique style of contemporary high life and Afro-beats with occasional forays into blues.
He has since remained undaunted, using his talents and creativity to entertain and garner lots of followers on his social media platform.
In 2010, Fiokee joined D’Banj after playing the guitar on his song “Scape Goat”.
He worked for D’Banj for 4 years as the lead guitarist. He has also partnered with the sensational music artiste, Cohbams for many commercials.
In 2022, Fiokee released his 14 track debut album titled “MAN’, a hit album that featured top music stars in Nigeria and placed him on the ladder of music success.
Fiokee gained wider popularity and recognition professionally in the music industry in 2008 when he signed to Kennies music for a year deal. He eventually floated his own record label, Fiokee records in 2016.
Fiokee has worked with good number of Nigerian artistes like as Kizz Daniel on “Woju”, Tiwa Savage, Patoranking, Adekunle Gold, Simi, Flavour, Reekado banks, Yemi Alade and many others.
