Samsong is his stage name, but his real name is Samson Uche. He is an Abuja based gospel singer who was born on 30th November, 1974 in Delta State, South South Nigeria. He is a gospel singer, songwriter, musician who is widely known across the country and beyond. His first ever gospel song ‘Bianule’ brought him to music limelight.
His Educational Background
Samsong had his elementary and secondary education in warri, Delta State. After his first and secondary certificates, he went further to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy. Since then, he has remained committed to gospel songs and today, he is one of the very few talented Nigerian gospel artists whose genre of music is making waves not only in Nigeria but across the globe.

In 1991, Samsong formed a quartet, a Praise Creation (group) which was later signed to Ivory Music Label, a debut album that was released in 1996 titled “Best of Life”. However, the gospel group was short live as it was disbanded, leaving Samsong to launch his Solo debut album CD in 2002 titled “Count Your Blessings”. A very successful one indeed and was acclaimed one of the best hit gospel songs at the time in Nigeria. It was freely aired on radio and television stations across the country which ultimately earned Samsong “The Psalmist Awards” that same year.
