Helen Paul is a renowned Nigerian comedian, actress, singer, Events Host, Writer, Business Strategist, Philanthropist and a television personality.
She was born on the 29th of January, 1978 in Lagos State. She had her upbringing in Lagos State. She is best known as a stand-up comedian, popularly known as ‘Tatafo’. Her style of presentation and unique voice makes her standout as a child and loved by many.

Helen Paul had her primary and secondary education in Lagos. After obtaining her first and secondary school certificates respectively, she went to the University of Lagos to bag a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts in 2010 and a Master’s Degree in 2012 and recently a Ph.D. Degree also in Theatre Arts, from the University of Lagos.

Paul Helen spent most of her early years with her mother and grandmother, both in Lagos, who she dedicated her PH.d to. She recounted as a kid, she used to entertain small groups of her mates, neighbors, and friends within the neighborhood.

She attended an event with a group of friends but the stand-up comic billed to perform failed to show up. Her friends encouraged her to perform. Helen began working in the entertainment field when she started working at Eko Reelmix Studios, Radio Lagos/Eko FM as a front desk manager whilst doubling as a back-up and voiceover artiste. During this period, she featured on several music projects with artistes and music groups including P-Square, Infinity, Olufunmi, and Yinka Davies.
