She was born on the 21st of April 1982 in Osisioma area of Aba in Abia State in the south eastern Nigeria.

Nkiru had her primary and secondary education in Ohabiam primary school both in Aba, Abia State in south eastern Nigeria. After obtaining her first and secondary school certificates respectively, she went to Enugu State Science and Technology, Enugu where she bagged a degree in Mass Communication.
