Zuchu, by her stage name has her birth name as Zuhura Othman Soud. She is a popular Tanzanian singer and songwriter who has made tremendous impact in Tanzanian’s music industry.
Zuchu, was born on the 22nd of November 1993 in Dar es Salaam,Tanzania to the family of Mr and Mrs Khadiia Kope. Zuchu grew up in Tanzania with her parents where she had her elementary and higher education respectively. Nothing more is known about her educational background.
Zuchu’s Music Career
Zuchu began her music journey at her very young age.
She became widely and professionally known when she was signed to Diamond Platnumz record label, WCB.
Prior to WCB, Zuchu took part in 2015’s Tecno Tour in Lagos, where she competed with Nandy and Sapera on the stage and narrowly lost to Sapera.
In 2020, the talented singer released a hit song, ‘Cheche’ alongside Diamond Platnumz, a song that was very successful and made her a household name not only in her country, but beyond.
Same year 2020 was another landmark for Zuchu as she released her EP album titled, ‘I Am Zuchu’. The album was another huge success and Zuchu was publicly announced as the new female signee of Diamond’s WCB record label.
The album has seven tracks which include Wana, Mauzuza, Ashua, Hakuna Kulala, Niamehe, Raha and Kwaru.
The album was released by the crew members and family, including Diamond Platnumz, Sallam SK, Mbosso, Lavalava, Khadija Kope (her mother), Babu Tale, and others.
Zuchu got signed into the WCB and is being referred to as WCB Queen.
She has collaborated with top artistes such as Diamond Planumz, Rayvanny, Joeboy, Queen Darleen, Mbosso and many others.
Zuchu also collaborated with on a song titled “Mauzauza”.
Some months after Zuchu was signed into WCB, Diamond rewarded her with a brand new car gift, the joy of which she could not contain, and she broke down in tears in appreciation.
Zuchu has since released good number of hit songs including her loved song“, Hakuna Kuala”. Others are:
