Shan George is a renowned Nigerian actress, producer, singer, television personality and model.
She was born on the 21st of April, 1970 in Ediba, a community in Abi Local Government in Cross River State, in south southern Nigeria.
She is a dual citizen of Nigeria and Britain by virtue of the fact that her father is a Briton and mother a Nigerian. She is from Cross River State, but had her up-bringing in Lagos State.
Shan George had her primary and secondary education in Lagos State. After obtaining her first and secondary school certificates respectively, she went to the University of Lagos to have a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication.
Her Acting Career
Shan George kick-started her acting career in her University days, the University of Lagos where she acted her first hit movie, “All For Winnie”. It was a movie that shot her to fame and recognition in Nollywood.
She finally joined Nollywood in 1996 in her first movie, “Winds of Destiny” in 1997.
She again featured in another hit movie, “Outcast”. The movie was very successful and earned her an award for best actress in a leading role at the African Movie Academy Awards.
She is creative, skillful and highly gifted in acting. She can as well interpret movie roles and fit into any character assigned her by movie producers and directors in the industry.
She has acted over 100 Nollywood movies, some of which include London Forever, A Second Time, Grand Mother, Wrong Number, Outcast, Blood Diamonds, Thorns of Rose, All for Winnie, Made In Heaven, Passionate Crime, Welcome to Nollywood and several others.
