Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade, widely known as Mr. Eazi is a popular Nigerian singer, song writer, stage performer and recording artiste whose genre of music is R & B.
Eazi was born on the 19th July, 1991 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State in south southern Nigeria. His father is a Pilot and mother a petty business woman. He grew up in Lagos state.
Eazi’s Educational Background
Eazi had his primary education in Lagos state and continued his secondary education in Ghana and finally obtained his first and secondary school certificates respectively.
He later went to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology to have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Eazi’s Music Career
Eazi began his career in his University days in Ghana. He released a hit song “My Life”, a song that was very popular on Campus.
Eazi is such a versatile young man with abundance of talents and creativity. To this end, he set up a party and promotion company known then as “Swagger Entertainment”. It was a brilliant platform to organize and promote shows on Campus in Ghana.
He revealed that he ventured into different business ventures including importation of soft drinks, gold mining and food distribution. Eazi also said he worked briefly with Slumberger on his return to Nigeria.
In 2014, he quitted the Club promoting business after what he called big disappointment and woeful failure in one of the big shows he organized then.
Eazi however became a full time musician and released his first debut album “About to Blow”. The song was very successful and recorded lots of commercial volumes. It also attained global recognition.
In 2015, Eazi released another hit song “Skin Tight’, a song that brought him to international market and the much talked about artiste.
The talented singer is the originator of “Banku Music”, a mixture of Nigerian percolating rhythms and Ghanaian pidgin English. He is also reputed to have brought together a number of African and International music stars like Pappy Kojo, DJ Juls, Eugy and others.
Eazi is such a creative, skillful and highly talented Nigerian artiste. He is famous in music like About to Blow, Accra to Lagos, Life Is Easi.
In 2016, he performed at the Ghana Music Awards. His brilliant performance was so fascinating that Wizkid announced that Eazi had signed to his imprint “Starboy Entertainment”. Eazi however denied this but admitted being in business partnership.
In 2018, he signed a record deal contract with Diplo’s label “Mad Decent” a Los Angeles record label. He also signed a licensing deal with Universal Africa, a division of Universal Music Group.
