Kemi Adetiba: Biography And Net Worth
Kemi Adetiba is a renowned Nigerian filmmaker, television director, music video director and an actress, whose works have appeared on Channel O, MTV Base, Sound City TV, BET and Netflix.
Kemi was born in Lagos on January 8, 1980. Her father Dele Adetiba, a veteran advertiser and broadcaster who introduced Kemi into the entertainment industry and mother Mayen Adetiba, an engineer and actress.
Kemi’s Educational Background
Kemi Adetiba studied law at the University of Lagos. She also enrolled at the New York Film Academy where she had vixen skills.
Kemi’s Career
Kemi Adetiba made her entry into the entertainment world as a television presenter at a young age where she headlined two national television commercials for the detergent brand OMO, toeing the path of her father, Dele Adetiba.
Kemi started out professionally as a radio presenter with Rhythm 93.7 FM, where she became the voice behind two nationally syndicated hit shows: Soul’d Out and Sunday at the Seaside.
Adetiba started anonymously posting personal remixes online on various applications such as Spotify and Soundcloud under the username and tag ‘hule’.
She eventually emerged from being a voice on radio to being a face on television by producing and presenting several shows on Mnet, which includes Studio 53, Temptation Nigeria which she presented alongside Ikponmwosa Osakioduwa.
Kemi was also a presenter on Sound City TV and hosted Maltina Dance All for three consecutive seasons.
The highly creative, talented and versatile Kemi climbed to the ladder of success in front of the camera and eventually enrolled into the New York Film Academy to acquire skills about being behind the cameras. Today, her brilliant work as a director has spread across the African continent and beyond its borders.
Kemi Adetiba’s short film Across a Bloodied Ocean was screened at the 2009 Pan African Film Festival and National Black Arts Festival.
Kemi is also a Nollywood actress, known for good interpretation of roles in movies.
September 8, 2016, Kemi starred in her first movie, “The Wedding Party”, a Nigerian Rom-com film premiered on the Opening Night at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).

• Best Music Video Director Of The Year (2015) and a HNWOTY Award for Woman of the Year in Film and Television (2017) at the City People Entertainment Awards.
• Nominee for Best Music Video Director of the Year at The Headies in 2014.
Adetiba’s most recent works are music video direction of Waje’s “Onye” which features Tiwa Savage, Olamide’s “Anifowose”, “Sitting on the Throne” and Bez’s R&B single “Say” among others.
