Black Sherif has his real name as Mohammed Ismail Sherif Kwaku Frimpong. He is a famous Ghanaian musician and song writer who has done his country proud with his Afrobeats genre of music.
Black Sherif was born 9, January 2002 in Konongo, Ghana. He grew up in Konongo-Zongo, his Islamic hometown in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, where he had his primary and secondary education respectively.
He later gained admission to study Statistics at the University Of Professional Services. Black Sherif however moved to the University Of Ghana where he is currently doing his undergraduate studies.

Black Sherif began his music career some years back and has made tremendous breakthrough in the field of music.
He became widely known in 2023 when he released a hit song, ‘First Sermon’. The single was a huge success and shot Sherif to limelight in the music industry. He maintained the success by releasing the follow-up single, ‘Second Sermon’.
Black Sherif’s Second Sermon in 2023 was unprecedented with catchy hooks and choruses that earned him over 100 million streams on Audiomack, while his music tops charts and received wide airplay everywhere from influencer videos on social media to NBA All-Star games.
The success of ‘Second Sermon’ also paved the way for a collaboration with Grammy Winner, Burna Boy. The remix was released on the 8th Of December 2023 and within a couple of days, the single rose to the top of music charts in Nigeria and Ghana. In June 2022, Boomplay announced Black Sherif as the first Ghanaian artist to surpass 100 Million streams on their platform.
His Setback
Like every other being on earth, Black Sherif also had a fair share of setback in life, ranging from alleged breach of contract to other related matters.
On 11 April 2022, a lawsuit was filed against Black sheriff for alleged breach of contract. However the Accra High Court (Commercial Division) dismissed the suit filed against him which sought to prevent the singer from performing music and eventually had his judgement in his favour.

Black Sherif is not yet married. He was said to have revealed that presently, he is not in any relationship but more focused in his music career and winning more laurels. He is in the early twenties which should not distract his music dream of making it bigger.
