Rachel Bakam: Biography And Net Worth

Rachel Bakam is a renowned Nigerian actress, writer, TV presenter and producer, and a strong anti-human trafficking Ambassador.

She was born into the family of Mr. Adams and Rose Bakam. She grew up in Kaduna State, in northern Nigeria. She lost her father at an early age of 12. The death of her father did not in any way deter her from climbing to the top of success in life.

Educational Background

Rachel had her primary and secondary education in Kaduna state where she obtained her first and secondary school certificates respectively.

She later studied English and Theatre Arts at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and Digital Film making at New York Film Academy.

 

Her Career

Rachel Bakam began her career at the age of 16. She worked first as a salesgirl in supermarket, later in a recording studio and played a lead role in Hausa drama series  Rayuwa.

She did her one year mandatory National Youth Service Corps at Nigerian Television Authority International, where she produced and presented different TV programmes like Trends, Saturday Morning, and Style Code.

 

She was president of Literary and Debating Club then Head Girl in Kaduna Capital School, best graduating female student and best graduating student of faculty of arts in Ahmadu Bello University Zaria

The on-screen Nollywood superstar is beautiful, creative and exceptionally talented. She is gifted in interpreting roles in movies brilliantly and has since starred in several movies, some of which are:

This all-round entertainer is host of Trends & Rachel, a popular television show that airs on Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), African Independent Television (AIT), DSTV, and Startimes.

In 2016, she got an endorsement deal with Numatville Megacity, an endorsement believed to have run into millions of Naira.

She has joined Devatop Centre for Africa Development, a non-governmental organization to denounce and fight against violence, sex trafficking and other forms of modern slavery in Nigeria.

Rachel Bakam is true philanthropist. After the Southern Kaduna crisis which led to the death of over 1000 people, mostly Christians, Rachel Bakam and John Fashanu joined Big Church Foundation to support the victims with relief materials.
