Abiodun Sofuyi Okeowo is birth name, but widely known as Biodun Okeowo. She is a popular Nollywood Yoruba actress, movie producer, known for a movie, Omobutty.
She was born on the 26th of December 1971. She hails from Remo in Ogun State in south western Nigeria. The talented actress grew up in a polygamous home in the Fadeyi area of Lagos. She is the last of five children from her mother’s side.
Her father was an actor with the Awarawa Theatre Group who used to perform with veteran Nollywood celebrities like Jide Kosoko.
Biodun’s Educational Background
Biodun studied Communications Arts at the Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo. She did her internship with LTV8 where she learnt a lot about journalism.
She later developed a strong passion for acting which eventually launched her into the Nigerian movie industry.

Biodun made her entry into the movie industry in 2006 shortly after her industrial training programme at the Lagos State Television Office in Agidingbi.
Initially, things were not the way she wanted them, as things were really difficult for her, unable to afford simple clothes. Most of her colleagues mocked her then and even gave her names like Biodun Oni cut and sew and Tolani Alankara. But inspite of this shortcoming, she was determined to succeed in the movie industry.
Biodun acted her first movie, ‘Omobutty’, a name she earned from a hit movie “Omobutty”, meaning sophisticated child. It was the movie that made Biodun popular and shot her to recognition in the Yoruba movie industry and opened new doors.
She has since acted and produced several Yoruba movies including her first movie production Tolani Osinrin in 2007.
Biodun is beautiful, creative, skillful and highly talented actress, known for good interpretation of roles in movies. She can as well accept any character assigned her and her disposition in acting is loved by her numerous fans.

Biodun was semi-nude on the bed with a male actor who had his hands on her breast in the picture and many of her followers were not happy with the picture, saying it was indecent.
However, the actress revealed that she was only doing her job as a professional and she had no regret posting the picture.
Her Personal Life
Biodun is currently a single mother of two children.
The actress revealed that she left her ex-husband when she found out that he married someone else. This was really a sad period for her as her ex-husband never paid her bride price until he left.
The actress also revealed in an interview that she has no regret leaving her former husband, saying she does not feel anything for him anymore. Even when he tried to come back to her she knew she couldn’t continue with him so she had to let him go for good.
Biodun bemoaned the fact that most Nollywood marriage crash because of lack of trust and blamed it on the media for carrying rumours that could lead to lack of trust in most marriages.
