He was born on May 21, 1997 into a family of music in Lagos state. His elder brother was a Choir and father a keyboardist in their own Church. It is therefore not a surprise seeing Joeboy making it in the field of music.
Joeboy had his primary and secondary education in Lagos and later at the University of Lagos where he bagged a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management. He is currently signed on to Gorilta Sauce Entertainment and Banku Record Labels.
Joeboy kick-started his music career at a young age of 16years old and recorded his first song “Gbeseyin”, an Afro beat tune.
He again released another hit song, Ed Sheeran “Shape of You” cover and was well applauded in Nigeria and beyond. It was a song that gave Joeboy a breakthrough and shot him to fame and global recognition. The same song made Mr. Eazi to discover his talents and openly offered him his mentorship.
