Okechukwu Edwards Ukeje, better known by his stage name as Nigga Raw is a popular indigenous rapper, song writer, recording artist and stage performer known for Igbo indigenous language.
He was born on the 1st of November 1975 in Achara Layout, Enugu. He hails from Ebem Ohafia, a community in Abia State in south eastern Nigeria.
Nigga Raw’s Educational Background
Nigga Raw had his primary and secondary education at Robison primary school in Uwani and Awhunanaw Boys Secondary school in Achara Layout, both in Enugu state where he obtained his first and secondary school certificates respectively.
He later went to Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) Enugu to have HND in Business Administration Management.
Nigga Raw’s Career
Nigga Raw began rapping, dated back to his days in the secondary school. He however started his music journey professionally upon graduation from IMT.
He is regarded as one of the pioneers of Igbo rap and pidgin English which has received broad mainstream audience.
The sensational Igbo rapper became more famous after his release of a hit singles “Obodo” and the Hip Hop Gyration which topped the number one chat of MTV music, Clubs as well as most radio and television stations across the country in the late 2000s.
Nigga Raw has been described by many publications and critics as one of the best indigenous rapper in our contemporary African music and a great influence to a number of music stars like Slow Dogg, Hype MC, Phyno, Ibliss, Olamide, Flavour, Farlz and other indigenous rappers in Nigeria.
Raw is creative, skillful and highly talented rapper whose unique style in music has endeared the hearts of many both locally and internationally. His hit single ‘N’abania’ which has the collaboration with Flavour has continued to top the music chats in Nigeria.

• End of Discussion (2010) which won an award for Best Afro Hip Hop Video of the year at the Nigerian Music Video Awards.
