Nasty C is widely known by his stage name, but has his birth name as Nsikayesizwe David Junior Ngcobo. He is a popular South African rapper, songwriter and record producer.
Nasty C was born 11th of February 1997 in Diepkloof, a suburb of Soweto, Johannesburg. After the death of his mother who was involved in a ghastly motor crash, Nasty C was moved to Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal at an early age of 11 months old to be raised by his father, David Maviyo Ngcobo, who was then a human resource manager.
He has an elder brother, Siyabonga Ngcobo, who influenced him to rap as he learnt the basics of producing music from him while he was just nine years old.

Nasty C made his entry into the music industry as a rapper and song writer some years back and has made significant progress in the industry.
After releasing two mixtapes and two EP, Nasty C released his critically acclaimed debut album Bad Hair (2016), Strings and Bling (2018) which was associated and supported by his first tour, The Ivyson Tour.

Nasty C released “Hell Naw” and “Bad Hair” albums in February 16 and September23rd respectively under Mabala Noise Entertainment. The music video was very successful as he got his fans on Twitter to email him their portraits showing their bad hair periods. He then combined all the portraits in an artistic manner assembling his face.
Bad Hair maintained the number-one on the iTunes local charts and was the most streamed album in South Africa within 24 hours of its release. Nasty C also released a 14-minute film featuring three songs from Bad Hair directed by Kyle Lewis.
The short-film which included tracks “Don’t Do It'”, “Good Girls and Snapchat Hoes” and “Phases” featured Rowlene. It was commercially featured in several countries including France, Germany, UK and the US.
December 2, 2016, Nasty C released yet the extended version for Bad Hair named Bad Hair Extensions. It featured four new songs including the lead single and featuring American rapper French Montana.
In winning many accolades for both 2016 and 2017, Nasty received his biggest nomination which was for the 2017 BET Award for Best International Act, which he lost to Wizkid.
Nasty C was also nominated for the 2017 MTV Europe Music Awards. Nasty C emerged the number-three on the 2017 MTV Base, SA’s Hottest MCs.
On 1 June 2018, Nasty C pre-released two singles, “Jungle” and “King” featuring American rapper A$AP Ferg, from his second album, Strings and Bling. Strings and Bling was then released on 6 July 2018 both digital and physical.
TimesLIVE named Strings and Bling as one of the best hip hop albums in South Africa, and was also included in the list of hip hop albums on Tina Magazine.
In 20 August 2018, Nasty C established his own record label, Tall Racks Records. His long-term associated singer Rowlene was the first act to sign under the label, alongside himself.
His Tours
Nasty C embarked on several tours. He began the Ivyson Tour on 6 October 2018, at the Melrose Arch in Durban. The tour was a huge success with large attendants in five consecutive shows, four in South Africa and one in Namibia.
In 2019, Nasty C was named the Ambassador of the Male Grooming Company, Axe South Africa.
In March 2020, Billboard reported that Nasty C signed a joint venture deal with Def Jam Records, releasing the single “There They Go” as his debut single in the United States.
