Christiana Nkemdilim Adelana is her birth name but widely and fondly known as Tana Adelana. She is a Nollywood actress, producer, model, TV presenter and an entrepreneur.
Tana was born on December 24, 1984 into a traditional Catholic Royal family home in the 80s. Tana is the last in a family of ten children. She hails from Nara Unateze in Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State in south eastern Nigeria.
Tana’s Educational Background
Tana Adelana had her primary and secondary education at Treasure Land Nursery and Primary school, Surulere and St. Francis Catholic Secondary School, Idimu, both in Lagos.
She went further to have a Bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from University of Lagos.
Tana also obtained a Diploma Certificate in makeup style from the makeup Art School London, South African campus and a Special Executive Masters Certificate in Leadership and Management from the Metropolitan School of Business and Management United Kingdom.
Tana’s Career
Tana came into spotlight as an OAP after auditioning for MTN Y’Hello TV Show in 2002.
Tana was the first Nigerian TV presenter on Channel O Television where she hosted the interactive O-BOMA show. She also hosted the magazine-styled 100% Naija show.
The versatile young Nollywood superstar has worked for 3 years as the Nigerian correspondent at the Big Brother Africa reality show and hosted DSTV’s Mnet’s Let’s Dance reality dance series.
Tana made her debut in acting in a popular TV series, ‘Disclosure’ and has so far starred in several Nollywood movies, some of which are:
