Nengi Elizabeth Adoki is her real full name. She is a famous Nigerian-Toronto born actress, director, singer and songwriter known for known for Juju Stories, The Men’s Club (2018) and Lost Girl (2010).

Nengi was born in Port Harcourt on January 17th, 1990 her home of originality.

 

Nengi’s Educational Background

Nengi obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Performing Arts & Information Technology at the University of Toronto (2013).
She went further to have a Certificate Degree in Performing Arts preparation at Sheridan College in 2014 where she graduated with honours.

Nengi’s Career

Upon graduation, Nengi commenced a professional career in the industry with her Toronto based agency, “The Characters” with Larry Goldhar as her agent.

Nengi worked as a cast member with the Cahoots Theatre which showcase Wole Soyinka’s work, “Death and a King’s Horseman”, directed by Chiamaka Ugwu in Toronto. It was debuted on stage in 2017.
Nengi played ‘Arinola’, a role in the popular Nigerian musical stage
sensation, Heartbeat The Musical, produced and directed by Ajoke Silva, Olu Jacobs and Najite Dede respectively.

Nengi Adoki also played a lead role as “Kike Johnson” in the commercially successful “Wakaa The Musical”, London’s West-end Edition in her debut on the Nigerian Musical Theatre Stage in July 2016.

The highly talented internationally recognized star has so far performed in various short films and TV series, most notable being her major role on the Canadian TV series, “Lost Girl” Season 5, Episode 12.

Nengi played an actor role on Lonzo Nzekwe’s “Meet the
parents”, a Toronto-shot short movie, which recently won an award for Best Short Film at the 2016 edition of the Africa Movie Academy Awards in Port Harcourt.

In 2009, Nengi’s ‘Sync-Afrique’ was founded. The project was very successful winning an award. It was run annually for five years with a break in 2010 until 2014.
She was awarded grants of about $10,000 to run the show successfully.

The beautiful, creative and versatile Nengi has made a big name for herself in the entertainment scene. She founded the acting troupe popularly known as “Just Rich Men”, a collective play at the Mist theatre in the city of Mississauga in Japan.
At Sheridan College, Nengi starred in many school productions and was recognized for her role in the collective play “The Two of Us”.

Nengi Adoki relocated back to Nigeria in 2015 to continue from where she stopped in the entertainment industry as an actress, director, singer and songwriter.

Nengi has so far starred in several Nollywood movies, some of which are:
