Lukmon Ebun Oloyede is his real full name but fondly and widely known as Igwe Olaiya. He is a famous Nollywood actor, known for playing brilliant comical roles in Yoruba movies.
He was born in Kenta, Oke-Ejigbo Abeokuta, Ogun state.
Ebun Oloyede started his education at St. Jude’s primary school, Abeokuta, and had his secondary school education at Premier Grammar School in the same city.
Ebun had his primary education at St. Jude’s primary school and Premier Grammar School both in Abeokuta respectively.
He later studied Mass Communication at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Ojere Abeokuta, in Ogun State.
His Acting Career
Ebun Oloyede kick-started his acting career as a T.V personality at the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), where he acted on stage plays with the Musbau Shodimu Theatre Organisation in the 1970s.
Oloyede who got inspiration from the late Adeyemi Afolayan eventually graduated from stage plays to acting home videos.
He has since starred in over one hundred Nollywood movies, making him one of the industry’s top actors and an amazing talent that has a carved a niche for himself in the movie industry. Some of his movies are:

• kosi tabi sugbon
• Baale Oko Ilu and Son among many others.
Oloyede has also featured in the popular Africa Magic television series, ‘Awon Aladun De’.
Oloyede whose tribal marks on his face has marked him out as a typical Yoruba man, is creative and talented Yoruba star known for his brilliant delivery of roles in movies. He has remained one of the prominent figures who has made tremendous contributions to the development of the Yoruba industry through his brilliant delivery of roles in movies.
Oloyede is not comfortable with his tribal marks. In an interview with City People, the gifted and widely respected actor said one of his regrets are those tribal marks on his face. According to the actor, if he were a footballer, he would not have been able to play professionally because of the tribal patterns.
He has however grown to like his tribal marks as his trade mark similar to that of Alaafin of Oyo that gives him true identity.
