Mohammed Animashaun is his real name, also widely and professionally known as Moelogo. He is a fast-rising UK based Nigerian singer and songwriter currently making waves in the music industry.
He was born on the 13th of April in the 1990s to Yoruba parents in Lagos. Moelogo grew up in Lagos alongside his other siblings. He hails from Mushin area of Lagos State, Nigeria.
Moelogo moved to London and later graduated from London Starlight Music Academy.
The Lagos born singer was nominated for the Best Alternative Song Category at the 14th Headies Music Awards.
Moelogo’s Career
Moelogo‘s interest in music started after he moved to London with his preference for artists like R. Kelly and Usher.
In 2010, he got his first opportunity to showcase his talent to a large audience when he performed alongside Jamaican artist, Busy Signal in a concert. The concert was held in Gambia, West Africa.
Molelogo recorded his first official single, She’s My Indomie and released it on top music streaming platforms. The song received good reviews and won him some fans.
Moelogo was eventually shot to limelight after the famous hit single, Pangolo. The song was an instant hit and huge success as it was the choice of many people across the world. It had 120,000 views on YouTube in its first month of release.
In 2013, Moelogo released his debut EP Moe Is My Name, Music Is My Logo.
In 2016, he bagged a nomination for Best African Artist at Mobo Awards.
In 2017, Moelogo contributed in Jonas Blue’s single “We Could Go Back” as a featured artist, scored him a UK Singles Chart entry. The single peaked at No. 74. It also charted in US Dance/Electronic Songs chart peaking at No. 34 and charted in Belgium, Sweden and New Zealand.
In 2018, Moelogo signed publishing deal with Downtown Records.
The talented Nigerian singer and songwriter has performed at the Africa Unplugged Festival held at Wembley Arena. He has also graced the stage alongside top African musical acts like Femi Kuti, Sarkodie, Zahara, 2baba, amongst others.
That same year, he performed at the Destination Africa 7 Afro Hair Beauty Concert.
Moelogo has since had a close collaboration with producer, Bayoz Muzik. His music genres are Afrobeat and RnB.
He has also toured several African and European cities to perform at musical shows.
In 2013, he released the EP Ireti, a five-track project in which all the songs were produced by P2J.
He featured popular singer Adekunle Gold on his single, Only Girl. He and British-Ghanaian producer, Juls collaborated on the song, Oshey.
In December 2020, Moelogo released another hit song, ‘I Wonder’. The song was a huge success and earned him nomination for the Best Alternative Song Category at the 14th Headies Music Awards.
He released his second EP, Myself in 2020.
The project contains tracks such as Emotions, Logo’s Prayer, Fate, Mumidani, You, Self Love.
In 2023, he was featured by leading Ghanaian artist, Sarkodie on the single, Come Back.

Moelogo has so far been nominated for various awards, most notably as Most Promising Act To Watch and Diaspora Artist Of The Year categories at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
His Personal Life
Moelogo is not yet married, perhaps in a relationship.
Rumour confirmed that he is currently in a serious relationship with a beautiful young lady which has not received public attention.
Moelogo is a Muslim and based in London.
