Actor Aremu Afolayan: Biography And Net Worth

Aremu Afolayan is a Nigerian award-winning actor, producer and director. He is a brother to Kunle Afolayan, a Nigerian veteran film actor and director. He is one of the sons of the famous theatre and film director and producer Ade Love.

 

He was born on August 2, the year of his birth not known. He hails from the Igbomina-Yoruba descent, Kwara State. He is the last born in the family.  He is popular with a movie “Idamu Akoto”, released in 2009.

 

He is from the Afolayan family entertainment group comprising Gabriel Afolayan, Kunle Afolayan, Adeyemi Afrolayan, Toyin Afolayan and Moji Afolayan.

 

Aremu had his primary and secondary education in Lagos State. He went into acting profession and has since remained active and relevant to the Nigerian movie industry.

 

Aremu Afolayan is happily married to his lovely wife Kafilat Olayinka Quadri and the marriage is blessed with a daughter named Iyunade Afolayan.

The wedding was held in Abuja with his friends and important figures across the country.

 

However, some members of his family were said to have stayed away from the wedding, the reason being that they were not happy with him over his choice of wife.

 

Aremu revealed in his words thus, “People will always say what they want to say. I am not perturbed in any way. I don’t care. If I had married a top politician’s daughter, I am sure you will not be talking to me. My wife’s family is not rich, let alone my wife. I got married to somebody I wanted to get married to and not because of her wealth. I don’t know why people say all they say.”

He revealed he was born poor born poor and grew up in a home. By dint of hard work and determination to succeed, God elevated him to an unimaginable height.

 

Inspite of all these odds of life, Aremu did not grow up going to clubs, smoking or drinking alcohol. He was focused and bent on succeeding in life. As fate would have it, it is a success story today for this talented Nollywood actor.

 

Aremu who narrated how life had been unfair to him stated that he was neither introduced nor given any assistance in his acting career, not even his father’s influence.

 

He is skillful and exceptionally talented in acting and interpretation of movie roles. He is both gifted in acting in English and Yoruba movies and has a number of movies to his credit.
