Stephanie Asuai Eyime is her real name, also widely and professionally called Phlow. She is a famous and fast up-coming Nigerian female rapper who has made big name in the music industry.
Phlow was born into a Christian family of Eyime on September 19 in Lagos in the mid-90s. She is the second child in the family. Phlow grew up in Lagos State, but hails from the Southern part of Nigeria.
Phlow’s Educational Background
Phlow had her primary and secondary school education in Lagos State respectively.
She later bagged a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from one of the Nigerian Universities.
Phlow’s Music Career
Phlow made her entry into the music world as a rapper, dated back to her days in the University doing singles and covers of songs.
She became widely and professionally known in 2009 when she came up with the stage name, Phlow. Since then, she has been doing tremendously well participating rap competitions and street raps as well as uploading several videos.
She got featured on online weekly rap show, Don’t Drop The Mic.
In 2016, Phlow had her break in the music industry when she became acquainted with Teck Zilla, a Canada-based producer, and owner of the imprint, Str8Buttah Productions.
They collaborated together and made her debut EP titled, Mind, Body & Phlow. It consists of six tracks and a remix song. Teck Zilla was the executive producer of the whole project.
The intro single, Reputation, was a hit and became popular among lovers of rap music in Nigeria.
Phlow is the producer of the trendy EP, Mamiwata, which is making waves across the country.
The talented rapper is well recognized femcee in the Nigerian mainstream and has impacted the game. She is sometimes addressed as Phlowetry.
In January 2019, Phlow worked with Show Dem Camp (SDC)on their project, Clone Wars IV.
In August 2020, she was featured on Teck Zilla‘s song,Victory, alongside artists, Indigo Phoenix, Shabaam Sahdeeq, Eternia.
In December 2020, the talented Nigerian rapper competed in Hennessey Cypher Competition alongside rappers like Vader The Wildcard, MI Abaga, and Vector Tha Viper.
