Daniel Benson is his real name, also widely and professionally known as BNXN and formerly called Buju. He is a talented Nigerian Afrobeat fusion singer, song writer and record producer.
He was born on May 19, 1997 in Lagos. He hails from Akwa Ibom state, Nigeria. He grew up in Gbagada area of Lagos State, after which his family relocated to Ogun State.

BNXN kick-started his music career in 2018 and has since made tremendous stride in the industry.

In October 2023, BNXN released the extended play project, ‘Sorry I’m Late’ under the management of T.Y.E/EMPIRE. It featured guest appearances from Nigerian Highlife music duo, The Cavemen, and production from Steph, Perlz, Denzl, Timi Jay and Rexxie.
The project was mixed and mastered by Vtek and Poppil, applauded by Motolani Alake of Pulse Nigeria that it “projects confidence, wins and comfort”.
BNXN also performed his first show in London on 30 November, marking the beginning of his ‘Sorry I’m Late’ tour and currently one of the most featured artists in the industry.
On 22 December 2023, the talented music star headlined his first sold-out concert, which was also his debut concert in Lagos held at Balmoral Convection centre, Lagos.
He has also done good number of cover of songs by some of his favorite artistes, like P-Square, D’banj, 2Baba, 9ice and Olu Maintain.
In 2022, Buju officially changed his name to BNXN to avoid confusion for being mistaken with Buju Banton and having more unique branding.
BNXN has since collaborated with other top music icons including Pheelz on the single, ‘Finesse’ in March 2022. The song was a big hit and peaked at number 52 on the UK’s Official Singles Chart.
In July 2022, BNXN featured on the Jae5 song “Propeller” alongside British rapper Dave, with the song topping first 40 single in the United Kingdom, entering the chart at number 38.
